International Entrepreneurship Traineeship Programme launched at the Latvian Academy of Culture

24.03.2026

From 23 to 27 March, the Latvian Academy of Culture is hosting the international Entrepreneurship Traineeship Programme organized by the European University Alliance ACE²-EU. This dynamic, practice-based study program is taking place simultaneously at three partner universities of the alliance – in Latvia, Germany, and Poland.

On the first day of the programme, 23 March, 20 students from nine partner universities gathered at the LAC “Gara māja” building to begin an intensive five-day training programme focused on creative industries and sustainability. The process and teamwork are guided by experienced leadership, personal development, and organizational growth trainer Līga Efeja Lībiete.

On the first day, all three universities participated in a joint hybrid lecture on Design Thinking, led by Latvian lecturer, facilitator, and creativity expert Līva Stūrmane, introducing participants to creative thinking approaches in entrepreneurship.

During the week, students will explore the Latvian creative and social entrepreneurship ecosystem, visit the Latvian Social Entrepreneurship Association and the social enterprise Lastādija, and take part in a workshop within the startup and technology conference TechChill. Throughout the week, students will work in teams on specific business ideas, which will be presented at the end of the program to a professional jury at the innovation centre and co-creation space Startup House.

The programme is implemented by the ACE²-EU Entrepreneurship Academy, one of the operational directions of the ARIES (Applied Research, Innovation, and

Entrepreneurship Support) incubator, which provides a platform for international and interdisciplinary cooperation in entrepreneurship and offers learning opportunities for students of the alliance universities.
